Member of the Companies and Securities Advisory Commission, the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, and the Council of Financial Regulators.

He has served for two years as Chairman of the Executive Committtee of the world body securities regulators, the International Organisation of Securities Commissions.

In 1997 he was appointed as the Chairman of the Joint Forum, the international group that brings together banking, insurance and securities supervisers from around the world. In 1997 he was appointed as a member of the Order of Australia.
