Catherine Prime is an actuary, lawyer, and businesswoman with extensive experience in the financial services industry. She is principal of the firm P&K World and P&K Actuaries which she founded ten years ago. Her experience covers the financial services industry in a broad sense including industry development, regulation and governance in the contractual savings, long term finance, employee benefits, pensions, life insurance, fund investment, health insurance and insurance industries.

For many years she has been advising Governments and supranational agencies on the development of these industries and their regulation, as well as private companies. In December 1999 she will become the President of the International Actuarial Association, the worldwide umbrella body of the actuarial profession.
