Delia Rickard

Delia is currently one of 2 directors of ASIC's Office of Consumer Protection. Before coming to ASIC she ran the ACCC's consumer protection branch for around 5 years. While there she was seconded for a year to work on the Secretariat for the Wallis Inquiry into Australia's financial system. Prior to joining the ACCC she worked as an adviser and senior adviser to 2 Commonwealth Ministers of Consumer Affairs.

Delia has extensive experience in consumer protection and financial services issues. In the life insurance field she was a member of the working party which developed the life insurance code of practice and was also involved in the development of the life insurance complaints resolution scheme. She was a member of the Australian Payments System Council for a 1996 to 1998. Delia has an Arts/Law degree and is currently undertaking an MBA through the Australian Graduate School of Management.
