Kevin Davis

Colonial Professor of Finance,
University of Melbourne

Kevin Davis is the Colonial Professor of Finance in the Centre of Financial Studies, Faculty of Economics and Commerce, at The University of Melbourne, where he has been professor since 1987. He was head of the Department of Accounting and Finance from January 1997 - February 2000 and was responsible for the introduction of the Master of Applied Finance degree in 1994. His research interests include financial markets and instruments, financial institutions management, financial engineering, corporate finance and valuation. He is the author or co-author of numerous books and journal articles.

He is Chairperson of Melbourne University Credit Cooperative and has acted as a consultant to major Australian banks, businesses, and government bodies. He is a course director of the "Understanding Treasury Management" three day residential program run jointly by the ANZ Bank, Ernst and Young and the University of Melbourne which has been presented around 80 times since 1987.
